Round 14 Supercoach thoughts

Some quick NRL Supercoach thoughts from round 14 :

  • Leaving my VC on Walker instead of Tedesco (who I had as VC in NRL Fantasy, where you can’t loop), cost me around 130 points. I’ll never learn.
  • Judging by my 4 leagues I’m probably around average so far, and won’t pick up too many places overall. Was quite difficult to build a unique sides this round without burning trades, given who was playing.
  • Happy I hung on to Solomone Kata this long, he should increase in value nicely for a trade in round 17
  • Low scoring game from Adam Reynolds will have him in a good position by round 17, but since Souths miss 18 he could probably be picked up then
  • Mannering as captain was what I expected. Matulino had a solid game but nothing outstanding and I don’t feel too bad not spending a trade on him
  • Dodged a bullet by not picking up Bodene Thompson, two low scores in a row and some bad misses defending his goal line. Ditto Blake Ferguson, who had 51 thanks to the last second try.
  • Wish I had an easy way to bring in James Roberts this week. I would have had to sacrifice Soliola or Bird to bring him in, which would have helped this round but will feel better once we know what Roberts leg injury is and if he is out long term. He was the only other person I was looking at seriously bringing in after Maumalo, but just couldn’t find a way that worked long term. So just one trade used, 16 to go.
  • H2H rests on 9 points versus Captain Semi. Already taking the L (edit: Monday update put me behind 2 points before Semi even hit the field)
  • Nathan Peats thinks he tore his ACL again, so there’s one trade this week, most likely for Segeyaro
  • Holdig Tohu Harris paid off as he picked up a try on the way to 87. Could be worth holding until 17 or even 18 if his price remains steady
  • Round score is 958 before Tuesday updates, but there’s some high 1100’s in my leagues. Hopefully will see a small increase for Jarryd Hayne’s Knee.
